Week in a Day – Forced to Take a Break

Talking about ‘living life at its fullest’ as well as ‘not always thinking of consequences‘ in previous entries, there’s a story I have not told you yet although it has been a month since then.

366 Days Later – Thoughts on Japan

It’s March 10th, 2011 and I am thinking of booking a flight to Japan. It’s not that I could really afford that vacation, but I am in need of a break. I have earned enough frequent flyer miles in order to go to Tokyo for less than 300€ – fair enough. It’s already 10 pm and I’ve been looking for half an hour but somehow I can’t really decide on booking. I’ll decide this weekend whether to fly or not.

Not even 12 hours later I knew I wouldn’t be flying.

Würzburg

Well, saying goodbye seems to get a full time job for me nowadays…

Steffi came from Würzburg in order to visit me a last time while here in Nürnberg. Like we did in January 2008 on the e’en before her birthday we went to KonTiki’s Tiki Bar to have some drinks and had a great brunch downtown today.

Apart from entering the medieval dungeons and seeing the torture chamber we climbed the Sinwell Tower (highest place of the Nuremberg’s imperial castle) to enjoy a great view of the city.

Wish you a great time in Würzburg!

Kind regards,

Andrés

P.S.: I’ll do my best to stick to my promise!

Starting to say goodbye

Freiburg

I finally made it to visit friends of mine in Freiburg and WOW I loved it! Not only that I was glad to see Anne & Chris again after not seeing them for half a year but also the city and surroundings are to fall in love with. Not to mention the whole Schwarzwald (Black forest) scenery!!!

I’m somehow happy I didn’t make it to visit you earlier because I think I would’ve stayed in the region!!!

Despite being a very short visit I’m glad I had the opportunity to say goodbye for a period of time. Although I doubt my place will be as nice as yours I’d love to show you around wherever I am when you visit me.

Thanks again for hosting me, you’re great! I’m gonna miss you!

Kind regards,

Andrés
