Finding Amsterdam – Unlock your imagination

Unlock your imagination

Before you even think about it, the picture is real, no fake! My brother was standing there, the tree fell. Does that mean that my brother made the tree fall? No! I’ve got no idea why the tree fell, but on a nice sunday morning we found that tree and thought it would look cool
It does, doesn’t it?

Now let’s play a game. If I told you I was going to visit a city built over 700 years ago, near to the sea, learning its great history, seeing a lot of museums, churches, idyllic cafés and – of course – a lot of tourists, where would you look after me?

Now let’s try it a different way…if I told you I was going to Amsterdam, what would you think I would be doing there?

Know what I mean? We know one or two facts – that means nothing – about a place and think we’ve already been there and can tell what people will be doing and seeing there. Don’t take me wrong, I know almost nothing about Amsterdam but I don’t think it has only red light district and coffee shops with a lot of junkies.

I want to see if I can try to leave my prejudices in Nuremberg and be like a wanderer who sees a place for the first time he never heard of before…

I’ll be staying in Amsterdam from Aug 28th to Sep 3rd

That’s the part where I need YOUR help:

For those who have been there, what do you know about Amsterdam? Being a tourist guide yourself, what would you show me?
For those who haven’t been there, what have you heard about Amsterdam and what would you like to explore – apart from the two facts I’ve already mentioned?

Kind regards,

Andrés

Red Light District is a lifetime experience!
But, to be sure to have a unforgettable time, you should check out this The Amsterdam Red Light Guide

Hi Diggy!

I’m really flattered you passed by my site and I’ve just noticed that you’re right with the rss and e-mail contact ;) I’ll be working on those things these days, since I’ve just started hope it’s not that difficult ;)
I’ve just ordered “Yes Man” (you were convincing, yep) so I can read something during my flight to Australia ;)

Wish you a great time in Amsterdam and if you’re looking for a local to show you some nice spots (Bars, Sushi-Restaurants and stuff) drop me a line and I’ll give you a name/contact ;)

Best regards,

Andrés

Hej Andi,

an interesting point of view – trying to don’t have prejudices when travelling to a place to see it in its real beauty. Even though, do you have the prejudice that other people will have prejudices while doing so? I guess that leaves room for discussion ;-)

I remember the Sunday, we had this nice A3 convertible and a great lunch after strolling two hours through the forest.

Well, go ahead and enjoy the couple of days in Amsterdam, make some nice pictures and start posting them on your blog, start sharing your experiences, your way of thinking and raison d’etre.

I’m looking forward to commenting each single post!

Disfruta

Ricardo
