It have been some months since I visited Tokyo and I’m glad to say I’m going back. There are many memories related to Japan although I didn’t even spend a month there. Here’s a summary of my first three weeks Japan in my life.

It was friday night and a crowd of overenthusiastic teens and twens reminded me that I am in Germany. I was travelling with the local metro system to go to my brother’s place. I wasn’t surprised since it’s really normal to see young people getting drunk (call it preheating if you like) before going to a club.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind people drinking and I’m aware that buying alcohol strengthens the economy as well as governments budget due to taxation. But sitting next to people yelling and singing with bottles of different kind of beverages is totally annoying.

Whereas I don’t know if there are similar situations in your country I can tell I didn’t notice this in Japan.

What do you do for your body? For the last few weeks I have been running on a regular basis to take part on a race in the town where I live. A 10 km run I have never done in my life.

To keep on learning even when I’m running I decided to listen to Podcasts during my training sessions, which take place three times a week, 90 minutes each.

Looking for something interesting I found The Japanofiles, a free podcast by Dave Carlson, an american living in Matsumoto, Japan for over 15 years now.
