Uitmarkt

Arriving in a new city means discovering a lot, seeing museums, theatre, music and so on……..

…now imagine that you happen to be in a city during a great FFF – for free festival. Uitmaarkt might be one of the best things occurred while being in Amsterdam. There are a lot of places spread in the whole city where the festival is being held.

Concerts, theatre, dance are just some of the things you may experience without paying a €

So what do you do when  everything’s for free? Well then you’ve got a lot to see, of course! I listened to brazilian jazz (‘sensual’), saw modern dance (‘Scapino Ballet Rotterdam‘), ballet (‘Het National Ballet’) and listened to opera (‘Da Nederlandse Opera – American Beauty’ – sopranist Claron McFadden and pianist Ernst Munneke).

Be warned! The most difficult things are deciding where to go and maybe understanding anything if you don’t speak dutch, although there’s a bunch of “language no problem” events, like they call them.

See you there in a year!!

Best regards,

Andrés
